UCLA Aesthetic Continuum

July 27-30  // August 24-27 //  September 28-October 1 //

The UCLA Aesthetic Continuum will give participants access to the newest innovations and techniques in aesthetic dentistry. Our renowned experts will lecture, hold group discussions, conduct hands-on laboratory sessions, and perform live patient demonstrations. Participants will be encouraged to present an accreditation style case to the group.

The Continuum was designed to flow sequentially from lecture to discussion, to hands-on participation. Each lecture is closely paired with the hands-on laboratory session. One full day per weekend is dedicated to comprehensive treatment planning of the aesthetic case.  The insight and knowledge necessary to think through these complex, diagnostic cases produces a successful aesthetic outcome. This format will expose participants to the newest scientific concepts and developments in aesthetic treatment modalities.

SYNOPSIS: Patients today are increasingly aware of dental implants, and their expectations are for esthetically and functionally pleasing implant restorations that mimic natural teeth.

This course will focus on principles, guidelines and the rationale for select- ing appropriate abutments and designing restorations for the single poste- rior and single anterior implant to achieve optimum esthetic yet functional and practical implant restorations.

The presentation will be of interest to both the experienced and the novice practitioner as it will result in effortless decision making and will enable the restorative dentist to not only collaborate better with the implant surgeon but to direct the laboratory technician in the design of each single implant situation with confidence.

Course Objectives

  1. Criteria for screw retained vs cement retained restorations
  2. Create ideal provisional restorations which maintain and support soft tissue.
  3. Consistently create ideal, esthetic and functional implant restorations with healthy gingival tissue
  4. Understand the factors which allow us to avoid failures and complications

What you will learn in this course:

"When you join, we touch base so we can learn more about you and  gather the areas you are lacking in and want solutions for. So when you show up to the course we have already prepared a plan of action for you.
The course is designed in a way that during every encounter (including our meals) we are constantly learning new things and challenging ourselves to reach a new level.
I have also included physical activities (which are optional) for doctors interested in high performance and reaching maximum potential."

Day 1:
Dedicated to understanding and implementing the ridge augmentation blue print. All about socket grafting, bone, soft tissue, membranes, PRF, materials. We also included a hands-on exercise for soft tissue grafting and suturing.

Day 2:
Dedicated to strategies of implant planning, flap designs, incisions, suturing, bone adjustment and everything to do with the implant surgery+Live surgery

Day 3:
